Reed’s Salsa Journeyer - 60cm

Reed’s Journeyer is a perfect accompaniment to the adage ‘Run what ya brung.’ This isn’t actually a custom spec bicycle, but we believe the spirit is the same so we’re putting in here, and this is our show so we can do what we want! Reed is running a 2023 Salsa Journeyer Apex stock build - that’s the carbon fork, thru axle, 1x11 version of the bike with 650b wheels. The Journeyer platform is built around the idea that gravel riding should be accessible, something our team cares about deeply. We love to recommend Journeyer (in it’s many forms,) to folks who want to get out there on a good, reliable bike, that fits their budget, (and their body,) but leaves enough in the bank to get the rest of the kit to ride. If a custom bike is not in the budget, or you don’t feel confident in what it is yet that you want, we’d recommend to do what Reed is doing. Get an affordable, quality bike (from a local bike shop whenever possible,) and start adding to it! Try new things, add splashes of colour, get a second set of tires, get some cyclo-luggage, throw on a dropper, try clipping in (or platform pedals,) switch the bars up… Whatever it is that you’ve not yet done, and have fun with it! Some of Reed’s additions include: PNW Loam pedals, cockpit, and dropper, White Industries headset spacers, a Wolftooth seat collar, a Hobo Pieces ‘Restuvus’ bag mount, and the most recent addition is the Paul Components 31.8 dropper remote. This bike is well on it’s way to becoming a full custom job, but it comes from a more approachable beginning. We love a stock bike that gets consistent love and attention and we are always here to help you improve your experience on two wheels whether that’s with a full custom-spec bike, small repairs, or incremental add-ons to reshape your riding experience.
