Jason’s Bassi Hog’s Back (58cm)

What an elegant (but rugged,) bicycle! Jason’s new Hog is one of the most beautifully put together builds we’ve ever seen. This project is adorned with beautiful components pretty much everywhere. From the White Industries cranks, bb, and rear hub, to the Paul Components brakes, levers, and stem, there’s beauty in every corner! This was our first project on the new Sandy Beige coloured Hog’s Back frame and while Aqua got a lot of attention out the gate, this has really changed our opinion on this colourway. This was also our first time building with the newly released SimWorks x Velocity Standalone rims and the wheels turned out so great! (and we always love to use the SimWorks raw brass nipples whenever we can, so that helps!) More from SimWorks includes the Beatnik seatpost and the Obento rack. The front hub is a SON28 and is wired up to the Upside Down Edelux II, purpose designed for hanging underneath racks. Last thing we’ll rant on is the bars. These are custom made titanium bars from Doom and they look SO fly and are massive! 880mm!

We’ll finish up this drool-fest with another congratulations to Jason on their amazing new bicycle. Thanks again for working with us at Kissing Crows Cyclery.

Happy pedalling out there!
