MECHANIC

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years in a cycling service or mechanical repair role

  • 2+ years experience in specialty retail

AVAILABILITY

FT/PT with a 1 mandatory weekend shift

COMPENSATION

$23.00/hr-$29.00/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform basic to advanced repairs across a wide range of bicycles with high efficiency and strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrate an expert level of knowledge in areas such as dynamo hub and lighting setups, internal gear hubs (including Rohloff), electronic and hydraulic systems, press-fit bottom bracket standards, aero/internal cable routing, and wheel building.

  • Interact with customers in a friendly and positive manner, ensuring questions are answered accurately and clearly.

  • Write accurate and detailed service quotes and make informed updates to work orders when required.

  • Conduct quality control checks on repairs completed by other mechanics and test ride bicycles to ensure work has been performed correctly.

  • Be self-sufficient by using available resources to troubleshoot and solve complex or unfamiliar repair issues.

  • Perform general shop maintenance and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning walls and counters, polishing bicycles, cleaning windows and bathrooms, and removing garbage and recycling.

SHOP ASSISTANT

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years in a cycling service or mechanical repair role AND/OR

  • 6 months experience working in specialty retail

AVAILABILITY

FT/PT with a 1 mandatory weekend shift

COMPENSATION

$18.50/hr-$23.00/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact with customers in a friendly and positive manner, ensuring questions are answered accurately and clearly

  • Transport checked-in and serviced bikes to and from the storage area

  • Help customers in locating products and offer recommendations when needed

  • Restock and maintain merchandise displays

  • Tag and organize newly received products

  • Help facilitate test rides for customers interested in purchasing a new bike

  • Assemble new bicycles for the floor

  • Assist with basic repairs such as flat fixes

  • Perform basic cleaning duties such as, but not limited to: Sweeping, mopping, wall and counter cleaning, bike polishing, window cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and garbage/recycle removal

  • Encourage pedestrians walking by to bring their dogs into the shop
